THE RECORDS OF EL DORADO Descriptions & Explanations THE HOLYMAN is the King. The ultimate ruler of the Aristocrat society. He is, as his name states, a holy man with intelligence and machine-like abilities. He is the overseer and does not tolerate tomfoolery in his home. He comes off as strict, but he's truly kind-hearted and willing to understand anyone worthy of his time. THE LADY is the Holyman's lover. His queen. She overlooks El Dorado at his side, monitoring the children mostly and tending to the average herd members. She makes sure the children go to school and convinces them to do so if they refuse. The Lady is tender but strict in times of need. THE JEWELS are the children of the King and Queen. The potential heirs to the throne of the Aristocrat society. Both boys and girls, these children get the best education and training over any other child.
THE NOBLEMAN is sort of like the second in command when the King isn't able to step up that day. He's a scribe, a mentor, a friend, and a protective overseer of El Dorado. He is the strictest of those Aristocrat Royals, which the King doesn't necessarily mind. He keeps things in line and handles punishments when he's acting as second in command.
THE THIEVES GUILD is a group of thieves acting under the order of a master, hired by the King. The Guild mostly steals from wanderers, the lost horses of Delacor, instead of those involved in alliances. The members of the Guild risk their heads every day, because at any moment, if they are caught, the King will renounce all responsibility. If you are caught, you are no longer associated with the Thieves Guild or the Aristocrats.
THE MINISTER lives in a tower studying. There is no studying of math and science, but instead history and religion and life. The Minister is a calm horse with good intentions and, sometimes, even takes certain children under the wing of God so they may learn too. HIS/HER PRODIGIES are the children the minister chooses to mentor and teach.
THE SCHOOLTEACHERS are exactly that; the schoolteachers. They are assigned certain subjects and teach the children for a few hours twice a week. They can be strict, but are know for being some of the best listeners on Delacor. THE PRODIGIES are some of the best students in the class. The are the teacher's pets, the favorites, the ones who are most likely to succeed.
THE MEN OF THE COURTS are just regular stallions who don't hold any special rank, but still live in the courts. THE LADIES OF THE COURTS are just regular mares who don't hold any special rank, but still live in the courts. THE CHILDREN OF THE COURTS are just regular children who don't hold any special rank, but still live in the courts and attend school. Children are considered to be anyone between the ages of 0 and 3.
THE SERVANTS are assigned to almost every high-ranking Aristocrat. These servants are assigned to members of El Dorado (the Royal herd) who are worthy of being served by someone else. The servants normally stay in El Dorado, but they do go around the herd lands and connect with the other servants.
